Our epic adventure began with a late evening landing at Athens airport, where customs was a breeze—like a walk in the park! Thanks to our friendly Airbnb host, a car was waiting to whisk us away to our apartment in the heart of the city. We arrived just before the clock struck 11:00 PM, ready to dive into the Athenian night.

Cord's mother, feeling the effects of the overnight flight, decided to take in the stunning view from our apartment window before surrendering to the comfort of her bed. Meanwhile, Cord and I, fueled by excitement and a hint of adrenaline, set off to explore the city center, eager to stretch our legs and soak in the atmosphere. Alas, with only an hour to spare before midnight, our step streaks came to an unfortunate end—our first loss in months! But worry not, for Athens is alive…
